Flesch-Kincaid Readability

The Flesch Reading Ease formula scores text from 0 (very difficult) to 100 (very easy). A score of 60–70 is considered standard — readable by 8th–9th graders. Blog posts targeting general audiences should aim for 70+. The Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level maps the same metrics to a US school grade level.
